Alpaca training

We have been alpaca breeders since 2011, shearers and processors since 2014, and we take part in a number of international competitions; This has enabled us to gain a great deal of experience at all levels;

We love sharing our experience in such an unknown, innovative and challenging animal farming.

For that matter, we organize intensive half a day courses during which we are focussing on you and your questions.

If you would like to keep alpacas as a hobby, we recommend our “Soigneur D’un Jour” training course, which will enable you to keep your alpacas in optimal conditions and/or to start breeding alpacas as an amateur with the right basics and real support;
If you want to start breeding professionally, we offer a half-day PRO course to give you the keys to understanding the world of the alpaca, to help you in your selection and breeding decisions;
If you are starting from scratch, we recommend that you take the two courses consecutively; The same day or 2 separate half-days, depending on your availability and wishes;

We’ll be covering all these topics:

behaviour;
installation of fencing and shelter
basic care
mowing
diseases
handling
fit a halter;
body scoring
nutrition
etc.

We’ll also be talking about reproduction, births, cria care, weaning, etc;

We’ll also explain how to sort a fleece, read a histogram and talk about competitions, how and why you should enter them;

This course is organised privately on a date of your choice and is given in French from 1 to 4 pm; The price is €150 per person;

Package price for the 2 training courses “Soigneur d’un jour” + “Formation éleveur”: 300€ /person;

A deposit of 50% will be required to confirm your booking; We recommend that you bring seasonal clothing and boots;
